On the Boards - Frank and Dino's Lexington - Upcoming GTT Project Featured in Herald Leader

GTT is excited to be working on the renovation of the first floor corner suite at the Security Trust Building in downtown to make way for the new Frank and Dino's Restaurant.  This project is a unique blend of custom design for this upscale eatery and Preservation of the long covered 1905 space.  Stay tuned for more on this exciting project.

GTT's Darren Taylor worked with his clients Maury Sparrow and Craig Wahlgren to revive an historic gem in Lexington's Mulberry Hill Historic District. 

Upcoming Project Featured in the Herald Leader

On December 12th, 2019, Gibson Taylor Thompson had an upcoming project featured in the Lexington Herald Leader. The 2020 Club, which is a new bar and nightclub that will have sweeping views of downtown Lexington, got some press!

This project combines perfectly our interest in designing inspiring custom spaces and engaging with historic structures.

Gibson Taylor Thompson Architecture & Design Launches

Baron Gibson Designs and Darren Taylor Design have come together to form Gibson Taylor Thompson Architecture & Design. Partners Baron Gibson, Darren Taylor and Vincent Thompson are excited to announce the formation of this new Architecture Firm. All three partners, along with the current design team at Baron Gibson Design will be a team of 7 individuals producing the firms multiple residential and commercial commissions.

Marvin Window Factory Tour

Baron Gibson Designs  had the pleasure of visiting Warroad, MN which is located on the Lake of the Woods in Northern Minnesota. Marvin Windows and Doors has been in operation here for more than 100 years. Baron Gibson Designs had an opportunity to learn about their rich history as well as tour their window manufacturing plant. Warroad is also well known for its ice fishing, hunting and what life is like in Hockeytown USA.

Does it seem like everyone in Lexington is remodeling? Here’s where the action is.

While it’s difficult to tell precisely how many homes are being remodeled, there are multiple renovations taking around Ashland Park and Chevy Chase, and in the Chinoe/Turkeyfoot/Shadeland area. Just take a leisurely drive around the area and the contractors’ signs pop right out, huge dumpsters and portable toilets...

AIA Ohio Valley Region Convention

Baron Gibson Designs attended the AIA Ohio Valley Region Convention, a joint program of AIA Ohio, AIA Kentucky and AIA Indiana held on September 27th through the 29th at the Crowne Plaza International, in Indianapolis.  The convention provided attendees with a great opportunity to earn learning units and to participate in a number of events focused on design and member achievements.  For more information on the convention, visit the event homepage at AIA Ohio
